Connect Series with Keith Brown

For this episode of the Connect Series, I sat down with Keith Brown — the face behind Love Living Local 315 and the creative force behind Community Lens.

Keith helped grow two of the biggest platforms in Central New York — Eat Local and Love Living Local 315 — platforms that celebrate the heartbeat of the 315, shining a light on the people, businesses, and stories that make this community move. Through both, he’s created spaces that lift others up and strengthen community connection. I met him at the Network and Chill event and truly feel blessed our paths crossed.

He’s a man of faith, family first, a true connector, and honestly a genuinely good guy. The kind of person who leads with purpose and makes you feel seen in the process. He’s humble, proud of his roots growing up in a small city, yet driven to make a big impact beyond it.

He shared that he is currently working on writing a book titled Small City, High Impact, and I can’t wait to read it. I genuinely love connecting with people and hearing their stories. After all, that’s how I fell in love with journalism and built my career around storytelling.

In our conversation, we talked about the power of storytelling, the importance of consistency, and what it truly means to build something that serves others while staying rooted in purpose. Growth is important, but impact is everything.
At the heart of the Connect Series is simple: highlight the people who are doing the work, telling the stories that matter, and strengthening the communities around them. Real people. Real purpose. Real connection.

These are the conversations I love most — celebrating real builders creating real impact through authentic connection.
