Today, I’m meeting with Peter Ward — a community builder who is creating a platform that brings people together to share their stories. Through his podcast, @makingthecitysmaller, he’s proving that meaningful conversations can make big places feel personal.
Honestly, my heart was exploding — it’s not every day you meet someone who is just as passionate about storytelling as you are. We had such a thoughtful conversation about each other’s work, the power of connection, and why stories matter.
And the best part? This connection came full circle. I was introduced to Peter after attending Leadership Lobby, where I met Steve Mitchell. Steve sent an email introducing the two of us and said we needed to grab coffee together. A simple introduction turned into a meaningful conversation — and a reminder that when you show up in the right rooms, powerful connections follow.

This is exactly what The Connect Series is all about — bringing people together through meaningful conversation.
